How's that for a clickbait headline? The official numbers for World of Warcraft just came out today from Blizzard's Q1 2015 earnings call. In reality, the subscriber based MMO is down roughly 2.9 million subscribers from Q4 2014.
However, that still keeps the game at over 7.1 million subscribers. MMO-Champion has a nice graph of the subscriber history for WoW.
Blizzard is still doing a-ok from WoW as far as revenues are concerned. This is due largely to increased fees in select regions and other "value added services" (micro-transactions) that are present for the game.
Blizzard also notes that Heroes of the Storm had over 11 million people sign up for a chance at the beta. They also note that Hearthstone is now sitting at 30 million players, up from 25 million in Q4 2014.
