  • You Can Now Pre-Load Grand Theft Auto V on PC

The pre-load phase for Grand Theft Auto V on the PC has begun. The pre-load weighs in at about 59GB with the uncompressed game taking up about 65GB.
To initiate the pre-load through Steam, please visit your library, select Grand Theft Auto V and left-click the 'PRE-LOAD' button. After setting up the download options (install location, shortcuts etc.), Steam should start the pre-loading process which can be paused and continued at any time you wish without losing any of your download progress. If the 'PRE-LOAD' button is not showing up in your library, please restart Steam and try again afterwards.

    PLEASE NOTE:
Pre-loading won't allow you to launch the game prior to its official release date! It will only help you to download the game (or parts of it) beforehand so that you can jump into the game after its release as soon as possible.

    by Shawn Zipay
Rockstar worries a delay is likely.

A new report out of Kotaku says that production on Grand Theft Auto 6 is falling behind at developer Rockstar Games. After being officially revealed at the end of 2023, Grand Theft Auto 6 was given a rather open release window of "2025."

Grand Theft Auto 6 was the focus of attention before it was ever even announced by Rockstar. Assets for the game were stolen from Rockstar Games as part of a huge leak in 2022. Even the game's...

Looks like Rockstar might again go for at least the double-dip sales yet again.

Grinch Releases Full Grand Theft Auto 5 Source Code to Public on Christmas
    by Shawn Zipay
The shared content also includes files for Bully 2 and Grand Theft Auto 6.

It's still Christmas Eve here in the States, but in some parts of the world it's already Christmas Day. Perhaps it's that "spirit of giving" that pushed one "random British guy in the 360 modding community" to publicly release the full Grand Theft Auto 5 source code.

News of this public release started to trickle out late in the day on December 24. It was first mentioned by...
