2K and Firaxis have passed along word that you can now play Sid Meier's Civilization V for free from now until October 23 at 10AM (PT). While you're enjoying your free time with that game, you can also start pre-loading their next game, Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth if you already have it pre-purchased.

Civilization: Beyond Earth is slated to be released on October 24. That would be this Friday for those keeping track at home.
