Thanks to the efforts of the community, Gearbox, and Machinima, a new series of animated shorts were made for Borderlands.
The student-made shorts are a result of an exciting partnership between The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, video game publisher 2K, and the developer of the Borderlands franchise Gearbox Software. Through a project that began in March 2013 called Borderlands Cooperative, students at the Academy of Art experienced once-in-a-lifetime career development opportunities, and a chance to jump-start their careers in the video game industry with internships at 2K.
