Rumor: Project Beast is an Upcoming PS4 Exclusive by From Software

Apparently, the latest hot rumor creating some buzz out there is that there are a handful of leaked shots taken from a trailer for a new game coming from From Software. The working title for the game is called Project Beast and a lot of what is shown in these images may remind you of a certain game franchise, also from From Software. Actually, it should remind you of two franchises from the studio, Dark Souls and Demon's Souls.

Someone who claims to have actually seen the footage mentioned a few things from what was shown.

he walked around

fought enemies

i can describe a giant mindflayer type enemy

a character placing a shining magic sword into a pedestal at the base of a statue

a huge pyromancy fireball

shotguns

there was text "This is a nightmare."

Now, these images and that description both apparently come from 4chan (via NeoGAF), so the validity of anything seen or read about this supposed game is still very much a rumor.

However, it should be interesting to note that a Sony employee that regularly posts on NeoGAF has been teasing something about a "Beast" quite a bit in the past few months. It's just that nobody has really picked up on his hints until now.

Naturally, you should take everything with a grain of salt. Sure, it could be a new game from From Software. Sure, it could be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Sure, it may have shotguns. Or that could all be a part of a really good hoax.

  Sure hope it comes to PC, though Sony's always going to want to lure people into buying their console through exclusives, and Kadokawa will want some $'s from their latest aquisition, a nice easy bonus from only one platform release will probably push aside any thoughts of a PC version.

  Don't count on it. Demon's Souls was PS3 exclusive and if this is Demon's Souls 2, it's more than likely a PS4 exclusive. Though From Software is credited with the development of both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, there's a key difference. Demon's Souls was also developed by SCE Japan Studio, just as Project Beast is.
  
  Even if it's not Demon's Souls 2 and ends up being something new like "Beast Souls", it'll still probably be PS4 exclusive due to the hand SCE Japan Studio has in this. I could be wrong though but I simply wouldn't count on it being multiplatform.
