This is Diablo 4 at its best. I mean it this time. For real.
Returning to the world of Sanctuary for this latest chapter feels like a true homecoming for those of us who have spent hundreds of hours traversing its dark and unforgiving landscapes since the base game launched back in 2023. The release of the Lord of Hatred expansion marks a significant step forward in the narrative that was originally set in motion during the initial campaign and furthered by the events of the Vesse...

Fan Made Half-Life 2: Update Coming Tomorrow on Steam - Includes Improved Visuals for the Classic FPS
Tomorrow, March 27, you will be able to download and play Half-Life 2: Update through Steam. This mod, created by Filip Victor, brings subtle but important visual cleanup and eye candy to the world of Half-Life 2. Half-Life 2: Update includes a wealth of visual improvements for the classic FPS that we all know and love, while still remaining true to the visual style of the original. No, this isn't FakeFactory Cinematic Mod levels of absurdity, thank God. Instead of terrible reskins, yo... -

Valve Offers up Steam Store Pages for Steam Machines
Valve has opened up an apparent one stop shop location for all things Steam Machines. Over at the Steam storefront, you can now take a look at the various offerings a variety of vendors have put together under the "Steam Machines" umbrella. Perhaps you are interested in the offerings that won't cost an arm and a leg, such as the iBuyPower SBX starting at $459.99 (USD). Or maybe you want to go hog wild and plunk down $5,000 on the top of the line offering from Falcon Northwest and their T... -

A Short Video from Valve's Portal VR Demo
Maximum PC took some footage from a portion of Valve's talk on virtual reality. During the talk, they showed off a short "Aperture Science VR Demo." It's important to note here that while we believe this is running on Source 2 (the lighting could be a big sign of this), it was not specifically announced as running on Source 2.
Even if it wasn't Source 2, the fact that it's VIRTUAL REALITY should be awesome enough for anybody!... -

A Look at Valve's New Steam Controller
The latest, and perhaps final look, for Valve's Steam Controller was shown off at GDC 2015 this week. Engadget managed to snag some hands-on time with it and offers up both impressions and screenshots.
I spent roughly 10 minutes with the final Steam Controller at GDC 2015, playing snippets of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, The Talos Principle and Unreal Tournament on various Steam Machines. The body of the controller is wonderful to hold. Two long, clickable pads running along the backside... -

Furthermore, our own sources have told us that the headset is out in the wild and being tested by developers. One person familiar with Valve's plans told us that the headset in its current state is technologically "superior" to the latest iteration of Oculus Rift, Crescent Bay.They don't really expand on what it means by "superio... -
