Lord of Hatred Review: Diablo 4 Finally Finds Its Final Form
This is Diablo 4 at its best. I mean it this time. For real.
Returning to the world of Sanctuary for this latest chapter feels like a true homecoming for those of us who have spent hundreds of hours traversing its dark and unforgiving landscapes since the base game launched back in 2023. The release of the Lord of Hatred expansion marks a significant step forward in the narrative that was originally set in motion during the initial campaign and furthered by the events of the Vesse...

Steam Banned in Malaysia Over Fight of Gods Game
Fight of Gods is an Early Access fighting game on Steam that, as you may already have guessed, include a number of gods and religious figures all battling it out. The roster includes religious figures such as good ol' Jesus "JC" Christ, Buddha, Zeus, Odin, and more. Turns out that Malaysia, specifically the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission, weren't too happy about that game. They went ahead and banned the entire country from accessing the Steam store. They feel as tho... -

This is the Plot to Half-Life 3
January 8, 2016 is when we reported that Half-Life writer, Marc Laidlaw, parted ways from Valve. 18 years worth of writing for the company saw him pen some of the best games of our lifetime including the entirety of Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Dota 2, and Portal. It was sad, disappointing, and even a bit frustrating that he left before we ever got to experience his work in Half-Life 3. It's weird to think about Half-Life 3. Fans have wanted it for years now, but Valve just doesn't seem capabl... -

Valve Made a New Game. It's a Dota Card Game. Yeah, I know.
Valve finally made a new game. It's a collectible card battling game based on Dota called Artifact. Actually, it seems as though the full title is Artifact - The Dota Card Game, just in case there was any grey room remaining on it being tied to Dota. They announced it this evening during The International 7 and man that crowd reaction was priceless. There isn't anything known about this game outside of the fact that it's coming in 2018 and Valve has released a teaser for the game. Given... -

PSA: Steam Lagging Today? Here's a Workaround Fix
A great number of people, including myself, have noticed that Steam is a wee bit laggy today. And by a "wee bit" I mean it's borderline unusable. Fortunately, some users have found a workaround fix for the issue.
Comments on Reddit and the Steam Community provided a few fixes for this issue that may help you out.
- One potential fix is to clear the browser cache within Steam. You can do this by going to your Steam Settings > Web Browser > Delete Web Browser

Black Mesa Once Again Delays Xen
Oh hey look, Black Mesa announced a delay. This is totally shocking and unexpected. Xen is delayed. Oh no. Surprising. Etc.
Unfortunately, as some of you may have already predicted, we are going to need to push back our planned release of Xen to later this year, in December. We know that this is not what anyone would want to hear, but after taking a long and hard look at what we want to achieve, we have decided that this is for the best. We do not want to compromise on Xen’s quality... -

Steam Direct Now Available
Valve rolled out Steam Direct today to developers. This spiritual successor to Steam Greenlight promises a few changes that will maybe make it not suck as much as Greenlight did. With any luck, it will perhaps cut back on the number of low to no effort games. Perhaps.
Valve talks a bit about what happened to the near 3,400 titles that remained on Greenlight.
The end of Greenlight Last week, we disabled new submissions and voting via Greenlight and have been reviewing the r... -

Twitch Streamer Caught Cheating in CS:GO, Tries to Blame Friend
MissQGemini was a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer on Twitch. I say was because Twitch has already taken action against them after the following events unfolded on a recent Twitch stream. A video posted yesterday shows the CS:GO player loading up a hotkey activated cheat menu, proceeding to load a custom profile, cheat in CS:GO, and then attempt to blame their friend. Twitch has a zero tolerance policy for streaming cheating in online multiplayer games. This can be found at th... -

Steam Direct Fee Details and Changes to Steam Curators
With the imminent death of Steam Greenlight, Valve finally started to get some details out about their Steam Direct program that will replace it. First up, the fee for adding games to Steam Direct will be $100, which honestly sounds a bit low given that this is the same price as what Greenlight was.
But hey, let's see what Valve's reasoning is for making it $100.
We thought it would be great if the game community at large had a conversation about it, including both... -

by Shawn ZipayMake up your own definition of "complete."
Was 2025 a big year for game completions for you, or were you more of a "stick to one never-ending, live-service game for the entire year" sort of player?
For this, you can take whatever definition you want as a game "completion." Beat the main story? Earned 100% of the game's achievements? Or simply played enough that you're satisfied with what you accomplished and have no plans to return any time...I did not complete any game in 202533.33%2I completed up to 10 games50.00%3I completed more than 10 games16.67%1-
