Lord of Hatred Review: Diablo 4 Finally Finds Its Final Form
This is Diablo 4 at its best. I mean it this time. For real.
Returning to the world of Sanctuary for this latest chapter feels like a true homecoming for those of us who have spent hundreds of hours traversing its dark and unforgiving landscapes since the base game launched back in 2023. The release of the Lord of Hatred expansion marks a significant step forward in the narrative that was originally set in motion during the initial campaign and furthered by the events of the Vesse...

Valve Sends Cease and Desist to CS:GO Skin Trade Website OPSkins
Earlier today, Valve sent a cease and desist request to OPSkins, a website that lives and thrives off of the off-site betting, buying, and selling of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skins. Valve even went so far as to make a news post about what they did today via the Counter-Strike website.
For the last two years, Valve has enforced our Steam Subscriber Agreement terms as described in this post....

Valve Will Continue to Do Nothing About What Games Appear on Steam
Valve has essentially said "fuck it, put whatever you want on Steam just so long as we get a piece."
This seems to be the general tone of today's blog post by Valve's Erik Johnson. The company that runs Steam continues to show that they kind of don't really care about what appears on the platform so long as it's not "illegal or straight up trolling." Of course, Valve also noted that they are the ones who ultimately decide what is "illegal" or "trolling" as it applies to games... -

Valve Pulls School Shooting Simulator from Steam, Calls Developer a 'Troll'
Valve has called the developer of Active Shooter a "troll with a history of customer abuse." Active Shooter was slated to release on June 6 from developer Revived Games publisher ACID. It was a game that would allow players to experience a mass shooting from either the point of view of the shooter or the point of view of the SWAT team that was tasked with taking them down. As you may have already guessed, some people were rightfully pissed off about this. Thankfully Valve stepped in and ha...

Valve Announces Spring Cleaning Event for Steam
Do you play "video games?" Do you play these "video games" on Steam? Then this news is for you. Starting today, Valve is kicking off what they're calling the "Spring Cleaning" event on Steam. It involves video games and playing them.
Spring Cleaning. That wonderful time of year where people go through their closets to make space, and in doing so discover forgotten gems lost to the bottom of plastic storage totes. But why should the joy of rediscovering a kitschy t-shirt, or a well-hidden... -

Valve Releases Steam Link App for Android; iOS Release Pending
Valve just passed along word that the Steam Link app is now available for immediate download for Android devices. The iOS release is coming soon "pending further review from Apple." Still, this is a bit earlier than the anticipated May 21 release window.
The Steam Link app allows gamers to experience their Steam library of games on their Android (phone, tablet, and TV) devices while connected to the same 5Ghz network or wired Ethernet as their Steam gaming computer (PC, Linux, Mac).... -

Valve Puts Out Last Call for Portal 2 Nendoroids
Whenever I get a press release sent to my inbox from Valve, there's always a bit of shock and excitement that accompanies the notification. Is it a new game? Is is the Panorama update for CSGO? No, sadly, this email today was none of that. It was instead a notification that the limited-time offer for Portal 2 Nendoroids is coming to a close in a few days.
This includes the P-Body Nendoroid and the Atlas Nendoroid. You can get each of them for 5,800 Japanese Yen or about $53... -

Campo Santo Acquired by Valve
This weekend, we learned that Firewatch development studio, Campo Santo was acquired by Valve, the former game development studio and the creators of Steam. All 12 members of Campo Santo will make the move and will continue their work on In the Valley of Gods.
If you’re the type of person who gives two flips about this news, we can elaborate a little bit on this big decision. First, we really like making video games. Furthermore, and perhaps more accurately, we really like making... -

Pro Counter-Strike Player Suspended After Making Racist Comment
A "professional" Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player has been suspended from the Faceit Pro League for one month after he called another player a "fucking monkey." Those were the words uttered by Nils "k1to" Gruhne of Alternate Attax towards Joao "felps" Vasconcellos during a European FPL game. Gruhne later issued a remark via Twitter saying that "we have (all) made mistakes and learned." Faceit still decided to take action against Gruhne. Milos "Mikey" Nedeljkovic issued ...

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Caster Sadokist in Hot Water for Using Racial Slurs, Telling Viewers to Kill Themselves
The somewhat well-known Counter-Strike: Global Offensive caster, Sadokist, is finding himself in some hot water today after he let out at least one obvious racial slur and told his viewers to kill themselves.
In the Streamable videos below, a couple of Sadokist's remarks are viewable. Be warned that the first video features a racial slur while the second link has him telling a viewer to kill themselves.
Sadokist going with the hard "r" slur.

Valve Discusses Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Negev Changes
In a blog posting that went up last night, Valve started to detail some of the changes and thoughts they have in mind for the Negev in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some of these changes are already being tested as part of a beta update for CS:GO but they say that the changes, barring any issues, will go live soon. Their main focus right now is making the Negev a weapon that can provide adequate suppression in the heat of a battle.
At this point it’s clear that the upside of... -

A Big Steam Client Update was Just Released
Valve pushed out a rather beefy update to the Steam client. No, there aren't really any visual or layout changes in this update, but it does have a lot of improvements for the client for those across all platforms that Steam is available on.
Changes for Steam client for March 21, 2018
General • Reduced CPU usage of Steam when redrawing the UI, such as when the mouse is moved back and forth over part of the Library view • Improved behavior when re-installing from retail... -

by Shawn ZipayMake up your own definition of "complete."
Was 2025 a big year for game completions for you, or were you more of a "stick to one never-ending, live-service game for the entire year" sort of player?
For this, you can take whatever definition you want as a game "completion." Beat the main story? Earned 100% of the game's achievements? Or simply played enough that you're satisfied with what you accomplished and have no plans to return any time...I did not complete any game in 202533.33%2I completed up to 10 games50.00%3I completed more than 10 games16.67%1-
