All of this is being done in an effort to cut costs due to rising prices and expenses brought about by artificial intelligence (AI).

Dr Disrespect Allegedly Banned from Twitch After Sexting a Minor
The streamer was suddenly banned without reason in 2020.
In 2020, Twitch quickly and rather unexpectedly banned one of their biggest streamers, Herschel "Guy" Beahm, also known as Dr Disrespect. For years, nobody would say why Dr Disrespect was banned from the platform. Now, almost exactly four years later, two former Twitch employees have come forth with information on the ban.
In speaking with The Verge, one former Twitch employee said that Beahm used Twitch's...
1. You may have noticed kind of spotty news here over at least the past week or two. Sorry about that. As most of you are probably well aware, most of the States are on fire, figuratively speaking. Where I am is no exception to that. It's been in the 90s for the past week with high humidity and it's just been absolutely miserable. It's even more miserable in my work room with an AC that cannot keep up at all...

Sims-like 'Life By You' Canceled by Paradox Interactive
One former dev says they had the rugged pulled from them just weeks before launch.
Life by You was aiming to be The Sims rival the world so desperately needed. While The Sims is loved by millions, it would have been great to see another game enter that life-sim genre that doesn't have well over $1,000 worth of DLC. Plus, competition is good for all parties as it pushes companies to innovate and take risks, which can lead to better experiences for players.
Was 2025 a big year for game completions for you, or were you more of a "stick to one never-ending, live-service game for the entire year" sort of player?
For this, you can take whatever definition you want as a game "completion." Beat the main story? Earned 100% of the game's achievements? Or simply played enough that you're satisfied with what you accomplished and have no plans to return any time...
