It started as a rumor earlier tonight but some anonymous sources close to Kotaku have confirmed that the next Call of Duty title will be Call of Duty: Black Ops IV. Sorry, wait a second.I meant to say that the next Call of Duty title looks to be Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII. The tally marks, Mason, what do they mean?!
If you're reading this and suddenly feel dumber, how do you think I felt having to write it out? That's right, to hell with conventional roman numerals! This is 'merica! We do things real stupid-like here and that's just the way it is!
The rumor first started tonight when Houston Rockets player James Harden put on a full camo getup complete with a Black Ops III style hat. Only thing is, the hat had four I's on it. Four! See? One, two, three, IIII! It's right there!
Well naturally, people immediately spotted it and thought that it was a not at all subtle hint and confirmation for the next Call of Duty title. Kotaku then heard from some sources that confirmed Harden is indeed wearing the hat baring the official Call of Duty: Black Ops Four logo.
A sitting president is being sued by a porn star he had an affair with. The trade wars have just begun. North Korea and South Korea getting along. IV is now IIII. What a time to be alive!
(incoming acronym's) For as much as i might say my favourites are COD2 and MW1 i really love Treyarch's games after COD3, 3 was fine at the time but aged quickly, WAW was fantastic and every BLOPS has been great, they are the most consistent of the COD studios and it's finally their turn again.
I've been playing a lot of WW2 despite its bugs, lack of anti cheat, terrible weapon balance and poor map design, so Treyarch really only need to do what they usually do, hopefully without the hero specific abilities from their previous game, and it'll be 20x better than WW2.
