  • Squad "Mutiny" Feature Coming Back to Battlefield 1

One thing that Battlefield 1 seems to lack are squad leaders that actually lead the squad. How often have you sat and requested orders from your leader only to receive none? It's probably a lot.

Fortunately, DICE is aware that people want the mutiny feature back. A DICE developer posting on Reddit said that the feature from Battlefield 4 will be making a return very soon.
Heya, this is one of the most requested features. It will be fixed in one of the upcoming patches. Basically following the BF4 standard where if a squad member request an order and does not receive any, that squad member will be promoted to leader.

Keep in mind that a solid date for when this will be implemented is not yet known. There is an update coming in about 40 minutes for all platforms. We'll have details on what is included later on.

Battlefield 6 Leak Shows Return of Battlefield 1 Mud Buildup Feature
    by Shawn Zipay
    War is messy.

In Battlefield 1, there was an immersive feature that you may not have really thought much about. When crawling through trenches and across the muddy terrain, your weapons would start to accumulate a thick layer of muck and grime. It had no actual gameplay impact but it was certainly a neat little touch that helped to make the player feel more immersed in the game.

This mud buildup feature was sadly absent from Battlefield 2042. Of course, there were a lot...
