We all knew one was coming, we just didn't know when it would be revealed. Well, that when is now and the what is the Premium Pass for Battlefield 1. DICE and EA finally revealed their plans for future expansion packs for the upcoming entry in the Battlefield franchise.
• 4 upcoming digital expansion packs, including:
o Two-week early access to each expansion pack
o Play as new armies including France in Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass, and the Russian Empire in an upcoming expansion pack
o 16 new multiplayer maps
o New Operations and game modes for more ways to play
o New Elite classes
o 20 new weapons
o New vehicles
• 14 Battlefield 1 Battlepacks containing stand-out weapon skins, delivered monthly from November 2016
• 14 unique dog tags distributed over the course of the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass period

To go along with this announcement, EA and DICE have revealed the "Ultimate Edition" of Battlefield 1 through Origin. The going price for this is $129.98 (USD)! This includes everything in the $79.99 Deluxe Edition plus the Premium Pass, which places the price of the Season Pass at roughly $50. It seems as though the Premium Pass isn't being sold separately just yet.

Who's already saved up their pennies to purchase Battlefield 1 Premium?

I was afraid they were going to go to the 4 DLC model. That makes the pass not really worth it. It doesnt save any money and you get crappy DLCs because of it.

Also, after the previous games have been out for a while they practically give the DLCs away with discounts and sales.

Oh well, I guess back to hand picking DLC.

They're even separating game modes again. So you get to NOT play chainlink all over again! HORAY!
