Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Those that are in the closed alpha for Battlefield 1 can now share thoughts, experiences, videos, screenshots, and stream the game as DICE and EA have lifted the NDA.
So, with that said, are there any burning questions you'd like to have me try to answer about Battlefield 1?
I would of really liked to try the alpha but I wasn't invited. I wonder how they pick who gets invited because I know people that haven't played in 2 years that got invites, and I play BF4 pretty regularly but no invite?

If I were to guess it's actually completely random on who was selected. I have no idea why I was selected and nobody else from those I regularly play with weren't. Wasn't a press thing since it was sent to personal email. Isn't a time played or a # of old BF games owned. It legitimately looks like it's random.
Missed to check the reply lately. Thanks for all these details.
Right now, the CPU usage seems to be a bit higher. However, as it's still an alpha, I'm thinking that might be something that will be adjusted at or closer to release. Even with that, I still have very similar performance to BF3 and BF4 on my GTX 770, i5-2500K.
I didn't upgrade to BF4 so I'm still a bit more in the back. during the BF4 beta I found my box to be a bit under-performing but it was still playable (just not as pretty as bigger can show).
I'll see how it run during the open beta but I expect an upgrade to be mandatory.
It's interesting to note that on the left hand side are icons for BF4 and Hardline. So while they may be getting rid of Battlelog, it seems as though this interface will serve as a new "launcher" of sorts? I'm not really sure yet since this only works for BF1 at the moment. The multiplayer stuff and server browser starts around a minute in.
It's really nice to see back an in-game browser.
If I understood properly, battlelog will be widely review soon (BF4 first then the rest of the franchise). I suppose it will be deployed before BF1' beta.
I've got an extra question : what about the friend/squad management ?
I've got an extra question : what about the friend/squad management ?
I only got around to testing friend management today since only one other friend that I regularly play with was able to get into the alpha with me.
However, from the main menu, you can move your mouse to the right side to have your friends' list slide out. Click on the three dots next to your friend's name(s) and invite them to the party. Join a server and it tells the party that the party leader (or somesuch) has joined a server, and asks if they would like to join too. It seems a little inelegant. I would rather everyone joined at the same time once enough slots were open but... I guess it's serviceable.
Squad management is the usual. Once you're in, you see the squad listing. You click to join one that isn't full or make a new one. It shows you what roles everyone in the squad has. You can have up to five people in a squad. You can spawn on anybody in the squad provided they aren't under fire or in danger. Pretty much the usual for that stuff.
