"We take all this into account when we think about the future, and do franchise strategy. But there's one thing that lingers with Bad Company that we've been asking ourselves: what is it that the people really liked about Bad Company?
"Some people say they found the multiplayer controls faster and more direct. Some people liked the single-player and the characters and the humour. People love different things about it. It's starting to almost get to that place where, if we were to make a sequel to Bad Company, what would than even imply?
"It's scary to go back and try to remake an old fan favourite when actually no-one can really put their finger on what it is people love. Bringing back the characters and creating a great single-player out of that, sure, I can understand that.
"But some people say this: the Bad Company 2 multiplayer is the best you've ever done. Okay, why is that? It's hard for people to articulate what that is, which is actually hard for us. It would be hard to remake something like that. Can we do it? Of course. We have our theories when it comes to the multiplayer."

Despite Toredsson providing a few examples, he's still not sure why fans enjoyed the series. Anyway, does this case of being oblivious mean we won't see a Bad Company 3?
"Well you'll have to wait and see," was Troedsson's cryptic response.
"The Bad Company sub brand is something we hold very near and dear. We'll take that into account when we think about the future.
"It's never dead. You can always revive it, as with any TV series, movie or IP. It's going to come down to, if people really want it and if a team inside my group really wants to build it, then sure."

A movie or TV series...
The issue that DICE doesn't understand what was the interesting part in BC2 is really a problem. I wouldn't do a SP and put more work into MP > same as BC2 had with less casualish stuff as:
a) Iglas/Stingers (Autolocking weapons)
b) Too much of explosives
c) map design (Arica Harbor, Atacama, Panama Canal, Laguna Alta = these were amazing maps). Every map had its own soul. BF3/4 are not one of them
d) Need less weapons. No idea why casuals ask for so many weapons though they use couple of them and not all.
e) Remove prone so that less people were scratching their bodies while camping and drinking a coffe.
f) Throwable C4 and AT Mines
g) Tracers' speed should not have the same speed as BF3, BF4 had
P.S. That's why the gameplay felt more dynamic and interesting. DICE as a true fan of BC2 I may continue adding stuff if you are looking which features did really interest people in BC2 and what made this game so dynamic and fun
I really liked the story because the characters were interesting and had a dumb sense of humor, BF3 gave us a rubbish plot twist and no music, just static noises, and BF4 gave us a single player i can't finish due to a crash to desktop bug and zero music, just more static, of course i have better memories of Bad Company.
Though i didn't like BC2 because they cut off all the weapon reload animations, i guess to change the balance but it mean't watching guns not chambering new rounds... i'm very picky about these things.
A lot of maps were almost a straight line like Atacama. |..a...b...c...d...e..|
which is fine for rush, but sucks for conquest.
Maps design got better in BF4 imo.
