Battlefield V Details Provided by EA

EA has finally sent out the press release detailing the new gameplay elements coming with Battlefield V. Let's see what they have to say about the game following the release of the game's reveal trailer just a short time ago today.
Battlefield V multiplayer will deliver the most immersive gameplay of the franchise in a sandbox environment that portrays the battles of World War 2, allowing players to feel the force of the fight and truly shape the war as the war shapes them. Players' soldiers can now tow stationary weapons, build fortifications and repair war-torn structures to turn the battlefield to the player's advantage. Whether dragging

  • Battlefield 1 Easter Egg Leads to EA Website Suggesting a May 23 Battlefield Reveal

There has been a long-running mystery still remaining in Battlefield 1. There was a door that came to be known as the "Zombie Door" in Fort Vaux. The door remained locked though you could hear mysterious noises behind it. It took over a year, but players have managed to open up the door using a series of nine switches scattered around the map. When done in a specific order, these switches spelled out "Isolement," the French word for "Isolation." Once opened, the door leads to a small sectioned off room with four bunks. Also in the room are some pipes, valves that could be turned, a painting of a horse, and strange patterns on the wall...

Former Halo and Battlefield Devs Announce New Third-Person Shooter: Scavengers

What do you get when you put together some former developers of Halo with some former developers of Battlefield? You get Midwinter Entertainment and their newly announced third-person shooter, Scavengers.

Scavengers will "build on the game design principles" first seen in Halo 5's Warzone game mode. That is to say there will be large environments and competing player teams, along with distinct factions including unique weapons and behaviors along with "free-roaming and highly sophisticated AI enemies."

Josh Holmes, the former Studio Head and Creative Director at 343 Industries is the CEO of Midwinter Entertainment.

    Review: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PC)

I don't remember history being this buggy.
If there is one area that video games come up short in, it's when they attempt to tackle real-life history. Specifically, games come up well short in being historically accurate without also including a healthy dose of embellishment or suspension of disbelief. In nearly all of the games that focus on real-world history, you almost always play as some overpowered jack-of-all-trades. Yes, this includes games and franchises such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Total War, Civilization, and even Assassin's Creed.

Thankfully, we have a game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance that comes along to not only embrace the idea of a "historically accurate" game but to completely redefine what the genre should be striving to achieve. Kingdom Come is set in 15th century Bohemia and no, you aren't some all-powerful character that somehow knows how to fight like a God and tank hits like your body was made of solid steel. You start out as a nobody named...

EA Says No New Battlefield for a "Couple of Years"

It looks like Battlefield fans will have to be content with what is available to them for the next couple of years. EA said that they will not release another entry in the franchise for at least a "couple of years."

EA CFO, Blake Jorgensen, confirmed this while speaking at the NASDAQ 35th Investor Program. He said that EA "won't have another Battlefield back for a couple of years. Next year we'll have Battlefront, the Star Wars game."

Right now, the only major plans for Battlefield 1 are the four expansion packs. EA says that they have plans to deliver on the biggest request from fans...
