by Shawn ZipayI, too, was surprised to hear it was still being supported.
DICE and Electronic Arts will no longer offer any sort of support for Battlefield Hardline on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Come Friday, May 22, Battlefield Hardline will be removed from the digital storefronts for these platforms.
A month later on June 22, the online services for Battlefield Hardline on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be taken down. It is assumed that the single player campaign for Battlefield...-

by Shawn ZipayGolmud Railway is also coming back in a future season.
Oh boy do we have some news for you today, Battlefield 6 fans. Details for Season 2 were leaked, including the Season 2 trailer and some information about the new content we can expect to see. Around the same time, Battlefield Studios shared their own information about some Season 2 stuff by way of a new Community Update.
First up, are the details from today's leak. In Season 2, there will allegedly be just two maps...-

That doesn't exactly look like everyone has given up, but sure, many people have, myself included. Why waste time and energy beating an already dead horse? Why repost a bug that was already talked about that should be looked into already? Why simply add a "me too" reply to the conversation? They add nothing until a dev actually comes along and starts to ask for specifics to perhaps address things.
It shouldn't be a matter that there won't be "change for a long time" because of any effort or lack of effort on the part of the community. We aren't trying to sell a product to ourselves. They need to please us and prove to us that their product is worth purchasing, not the other way around. If they want to do that, they need to change things and change them quickly. If even one person has a major bug, it should be looked into, not something that should be looked into months down the line or 10,000 replies later.
The root of the problem right now aren't bugs or netcode (even if that is awful as sin right now... again) it's that the game is a glorified mod for BF4. They are charging $60 for a mod, for a game that many of us already have. They are charging $60 for a mod of a game that we already have that halves the total player count, introduces a terrible UI, and utilizes smaller maps.
No amount of complaining is going to change those things. Those are core game pillars at this point. You aren't going to see a doubling of the player count because the game wasn't designed for that. You won't see doubling of player counts because the consoles won't get to boast about 1080p and 60fps any more. You won't see bigger maps because more than likely the maps and assets are finished or near finished this close to launch. The bulk of the things that people are complaining about are about the base game. You cannot "fix" that unless you delay for nearly a year to actually make things different enough to warrant it being a standalone full priced product. And we all know damn well that it won't happen given the track record of the publisher.
Many have jumped on the Hardline hype train already though and that is the other thing. The issues of BF4 and the ability to point to it and say "SEE, IF YOU DO THIS YOU CAN HAVE (ESPORTS, STABILITY, QUALITY)!" is quickly eroding away with everyone accepting the game for how it is now.
So in the end I think Hardline will be hardly better than BF4 but will exceed the little goal EA has set for it and will declare it a success and maybe in a few more years we can review this post and look back at it and we can all have a good laugh.
They are easily the biggest group of people that should be ignored when it comes to complaints about this or any game.
I also agree about ignoring people and their "skill" ideas. I get some of what they are saying, but some of the things they say are REQUIRED to make a game competitively playable just makes no sense to me about why it has to be required.
I think I was just surprised by the hypocrisy of it. Some of these people complain about no one listening and how the industry is stale and so and forth but when an idea is brought forth it just cant possibly work because of some stupid reason. They just limit themselves with their thinking on how something should be.
Oh well, in the end it doesnt bother me any as I no longer play eSports and do not intend to get Hardline anyway.
Though the maps look somewhat decent. Just add; Tanks, Jets, APC´s, Dirt Bikes, Jeeps, 64 players, two armies a conquest mode and purhaps even a misplaced gunboat and I´m in.
It just looks too stale for me.
I got so mad when they where showing one of the new few (could be) exiting things which was the grappling hook, and apparently you can only shoot it at certain edges that are marked with a blue light. Seriously? this is what we have come up to? And they will keep doing these dumb things, just like they did with COD, because lots of people will buy this crappy BF4 mod. And they will think: Well, if for such little effort and inovation we can get so much money, why the heck not?
