Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially delayed. Originally expected to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at some point in 2025, it will instead be released on May 26, 2026.
Rockstar Games made an official delay announcement earlier today through their socials and through their website. Rockstar offers an apology to fans who were hoping to play the game this year, while also offering their thanks to fans for their support.
As far as anybody is aware, Grand Theft Auto 6 is still coming out first for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is assumed that it will be several months to a year before a PC release happens. This means Grand Theft Auto 6 may not be released on PC until mid-2027.
