  • Flappy Bird Released on Epic Games Store... for Android?

    Uhh...
    A bird flapping between cacti.

Would you like to play Flappy Bird? Well, now you can do so again. The iconic mobile game was just released today on Epic Games Store, but the Epic Games Store for Android, not the one that is on PC. This is certainly one of those times where even though I'm the one typing it out, I'm still thinking "what?"

The game that started the craze of countless clones and "tap to flap" games is back on Android now. You can play through Classic mode where you simply see how long you can last. There's also Quest mode that features "new worlds" and "levels with set goals to challenge." New content is apparently "set to be added regularly."

Flappy Bird on Epic Games Store for Android is "monetized exclusively through ads and IAP for helmets to help Flappy continue after inevitably crashing into a pipe." Oh, and the game "will permanently never feature any Web3 elements." Those of you who were hoping to see some Bored Apes jpegs will just have to look elsewhere.

Ew, I didn't know there was an Epic Games Store for Android. I'm sure it's worse than its PC counterpart.

Lol, quest mode is nice & easy to get you into it. Then, a mere three levels in, I'm reminded why I don't play mobile games. Aaaaddddssss. It was fun for a few minutes.
