The virtual pop icon, Hatsune Miku, was added to Fortnite today. She is the Icon for Fortnite Festival Season 7.
Fortnite players will be able to unlock a Hatsune Miku outfit, various Miku themed instruments, and other items through the special Music Pass. This mini pass features both a free and premium track, with the latter offering more content to unlock.
This Music Pass will set you back a pretty hefty 1,400 V-Bucks. You can alternatively access the pass if you purchase a Fortnite Crew subscription. Like the regular Battle Pass, Music Pass progression is earned by gaining XP in any of the available Fortnite experiences.
The free track will let you earn the Shatter Sonic guitar and four Jam Tracks. These tracks are ones created by Epic Games for Fortnite, so don't expect any popular licensed tracks. You can also earn the Paper Lantern Aura, Shamisen Electric Bass, and the Break Emote.
The paid track will unlock the Neko Hatsune Miku Outfit (and LEGO variant). The end of the track offers the Brite Hatsune Miku Style. Other premium items include the Neko Miku Keytar, Neko Miku Guitar, Miku Brite Style for the keytar, the (oh god...) M@GICAL☆CURE! LOVE ♥ SHOT! Jam Track, and three licensed Jam Tracks. Those tracks are: "Work Work" by Britney Spears, "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" by Cake, and "Love Don't Cost a Thing" by Jennifer Lopez.
Outside of the Music Pass, there is a different Hatsune Miku Bundle in the item shop for 3,200 V-Bucks. This bundle includes a Hatsune Miku Outfit (and LEGO variant), Pack-sune Miku Back Bling, Miku Live Emote, Miku Miku Beam Emote, Miku Light Contrail, Hatsune's Mic-u, Miku's Beat Drums, and "Miku" Jam Track by Anamanaguchi and Hatsune Miku.
These items can be purchased separately if you wish. Also sold separately is the "Daisy 2.0" Jam Track by Ashnikko ft. Hatsune Miku, and the "World is Mine" Jam Track from ryo (supercell) featuring Miku.
There is a hell of a lot in this article I flat out do not understand. For you Miku fans out there, all of this probably made perfect sense.
