Announced in 2010, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been hit by a string of delays due to a variety of reasons. Understandably, the game's more recent delays have a lot to do with Russia's invasion of Ukraine, where developer GSC Game World calls home.
The most recent release for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 had it dropping on September 5, 2024. With today's delay, that date shifts to November 20th. This new update allows GSC Game World to continue fixing known bugs ahead of release.
This unfortunate but understandable news was shared alongside a cheeky new trailer. GSC seems to be keenly aware of how today's delay news will be perceived and have bestowed the title of "Really, Again?" to today's new trailer.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will now be launching on November 20, 2024, moving from the previously planned date of September 5, 2024.

With the launch nearly here, the team is ready to share the biggest and the most comprehensive update on the game yet. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developer Deep Dive will premiere in collaboration with Xbox on the 12th August, 2024, featuring a variety of never-before-seen content, including:
