I'm sure we've all been in a situation where a new RPG comes out and you spend the first couple of hours just creating and fine-tuning your character before actually starting the game. Thankfully, with Dragon's Dogma 2 that won't be an issue because Capcom just released the Dragon's Dogma 2 "Character Creator & Storage" tool.
This separate download is available right now for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam (though I only see it as live on Steam at the time of writing this). As its name implies, you will be able to create your character right now and have them ready to go for when Dragon's Dogma 2 launches on March 22nd. You will be able to create up to five designs for your main Arisen character and your main Pawn.
Capcom also revealed official support Pawns that are being created "by renowned content creators." These official Pawns will be available for other players to add to their team. Capcom says that more of these official Pawns will be revealed "in the near future." As it currently stands, the only names I recognize on the current list are: Elajjaz, MissMikkaa, and Maximilian Dood.
The official Pawns will differ from regular Pawns in a few key ways.
Official Pawns differ from normal pawns in several ways:
- Their name is displayed in a different colour.
- There is no Rift Crystal cost when hiring Official Pawns up to level 10.
- Once hired, their equipment cannot be changed.
- They do not appear in certain features such as daily and overall rankings.
- Some may have a limited availability period.
