Wait, there are seven Paranormal Activity films?

DreadXP is set to publish a new game based on the long-running horror film franchise, Paranormal Activity. DarkStone Digital is teaming up with Paramount Game Studios to create an "all-new interactive game experience" based on this franchise.

DreadXP says that they aim to bring the "groundbreaking found-footage style to horror enthusiasts in surprising new ways." This game "expands upon the lore and world of the films." I will be perfectly honest with you: I had no idea there were seven Paranormal Activity films out there. I saw and enjoyed the first one. I knew there was a second film that I never saw, and I certainly never knew there were another five movies after that. So I really can't tell you what the whole overarching plot is for this franchise, if there even is one.

Paranormal Activity, the game, will incorporate a "Haunt System." This is a feature that will "dynamically alter the types and intensity of scares players will encounter based on their actions."

The Paranormal Activity game isn't expected to be ready for release until 2026. The game will be out on "multiple platforms." DreadXP recently published games such as The Mortuary Assistant and My Friendly Neighborhood, with the former also getting the movie treatment.
