Fool's Theory and 11 bit studios just announced that The Thaumaturge's release date has been pushed back ever so slightly. While they say that the game is complete, with many reviewers already playing it, February just isn't the best time for the game to be released. In order to give the game a better release window, The Thaumaturge will now release on March 4, 2024.
The Thaumaturge was originally expected to be out on February 20. This gave it only a little bit of time before February's biggest launch, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which will be out on February 29th. I can't imagine these studios are too worried about the handful of other titles coming out before the end of the month.
Fool's Theory says that they will use this extra time to "polish the game further," but failed to elaborate further.
The Thaumaturge is a story-driven RPG with morally ambiguous choices, taking place in the culturally diverse world of early 20th century Warsaw. In this world, salutors exist: esoteric beings that only thaumaturges can truly perceive and use for their needs.
