Max level, everything unlocked, and a good reason to return before it's gone.

Friday the 13th: The Game is getting one last update on July 6. This update will give players access to absolutely everything the game has to offer. It will boost all accounts up to the level cap of 150, offer 30 legendary perks, offer every non-DLC unique kill, and unlock all Challenge Skulls.

This update will give players a few months of totally unrestricted and unhinged gameplay time before Friday the 13th is delisted later this year. The exact delisting date is December 31, 2023 and it has to happen due to the licensing expiring on the IP.

In 2020, Friday the 13th: The Game was put in the unfortunate spot between a legal dispute over the ownership rights to the IP. Though the legal battle doesn't involve either Gun Interactive nor IllFonic, the studios were unfortunately caught in the crossfire. Once the dispute began over who really owns the IP, neither Gun Media nor IllFonic could add any additional content to the game. A few updates did get released in the years following, but they were mostly for bug fixes and routine maintenance.

Gun Interactive is currently working with Sumo Digital on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. IllFonic went on to develop and publish Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed last year. Friday the 13th: The Game can still be yours for just $5 on Steam.
