A group if industry veterans, with credits that include games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 just banded together to form a new studio called Blank. That is the name of their studio, I'm not making some sort of a cheeky joke here. The studio says that they are committed to bringing unique game experiences that favor "novel territory rather than well-trodden ground (ie. no clones, or predictable entries)."

Blank was co-founded by Mateusz Kanik, one of the game directors on Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3. Other co-founders include Jędrzej Mróz and Marcin Jefimow, both also coming from CD Projekt Red. Kanik will take on the role of game director while both Mróz and Jefimow will be executive producers. Other members of Blank include Mikołaj Marchewka (managing director), Michal Dobrowolski (design director), Artur Ganszyniec (narrative director), and Grzegorz Przybyś (art director).

“We’re thrilled to announce Blank. and to start expanding our incredible team,” said Mateusz Kanik, Blank. Co-founder and Game Director. “After working for years in an increasingly conservative industry, we’re ready to make bold, impactful projects that share our unique creativity and values. Where the industry champions a dictatorship of the creative individual, we want to give ownership to the team. Where the industry leans on crunch culture, we prefer work-life balance. Where the industry says bigger is better, we’re setting our sights on highly polished games with a focus on emotion, story, and craftsmanship,” said Kanik.
The first tease from Blank comes from a still unannounced project. This new project is a character-driven game set in an apocalypse, "with a twist or two."
