Are you ready to dive deep under the sea to encounter fears known and unknown? You better be because Barotrauma is leaving Steam Early Access on March 13 with the release of version 1.0. This full release will include even more new features than what the 2.5 million players have already experienced throughout the Early Access period.
In Barotrauma, players will dive deep into the waters of Europa using a variety of u-boats. Players will take on a number of missions as they face off against all sorts of alien sea life, encounter all sorts of alien biomes, and contend with some pretty awesome ragdoll physics.
Featuring both a single-player and 16-player co-op mode, players will explore Jupiter's moon over and over again. As the game released into Early Access back in the Summer of '19, it has received a ton of updates over the past few years. Things like the campaign, tutorials, monsters, missions, outposts, graphics, environments, scripted events, and more have all been either overhauled, added, or expanded upon since that initial release. A fair number of these changes and improvements have come based off of the feedback received through Discord and even from entries submitted to the game's Steam Workshop page.
