Season of the Seraph just launched today for Destiny 2. This new Season brings with it new seasonal activities, weekly missions that lead to a new Exotic weapon, a new dungeon, various PvP updates, "and more."

Starting today, fans of both Assassin's Creed and Destiny can et special in-game cosmetics in each game. In Destiny 2 you will be able to pick up "assassin-themed ornaments for each class" and a few other items that are available through Eververse. Titans will get an Eivor inspired look, Hunters will get some Kassandra themed gear, and Warlocks will get to wear some Altair style armor. There is also a new Ghost, Sparrow, ship, and the "Up My Sleeve" finisher all based on Assassin's Creed. In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players will get to wield a Greatsword inspired by Gjallarhorn, wear Shax and Saint XIV inspired armor, and more.

Also starting today is the ability to complete various Moments of Triumph challenges to celebrate Destiny 2's fifth year. You have from now until February 28, 2023 to complete these Triumphs and unlock the ability to purchase the newest Moments of Triumph shirt from Bungie.

December 13 will be the date when The Dawning seasonal event begins. It sounds like you'll once again have to make cookies and deliver them to various NPCs around the Destiny 2 world. Rewards include a new Pulse Rifle, title, cosmetics, and more. This event runs until January 2.

Crucible players are set to receive a number of updates throughout Season of the Seraph, including:
    • Updating the Crucible playlist structure to streamline Crucible offerings
    • Glory is being replaced with a new ladder called Competitive Division, a 3v3 ladder with seven rank divisions
    • A new Crucible Seal, Glorious, has been added to replace the Unbroken Seal
    • Bringing engram focusing to Lord Shaxx to give players more ways to engage with Crucible rewards
    • Trails of Osiris is getting a new Hand Cannon and Machine Gun
    • Iron Banner will get a new Zone Control mode called Fortress
    • Reprised Iron Banner armor sets from The Taken King
More details on these Crucible changes and updates can be found in the November 17th edition of This Week at Bungie.

As far as the actual Season of the Seraph activities are concerned, here is what players can expect for the next few months.

This Season centers on the Bray family’s complicated history and their relationship with the Warmind, Rasputin, that is being compromised by Xivu Arath. Guardians will infiltrate Braytech facilities in Heist Battlegrounds and participate in weekly story missions to attempt to restore the Warmind.

This Friday, a new dungeon will unlock for Guardians who are ready for the challenge. The dungeon is available to players who own The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition or The Witch Queen Dungeon Key.

      Review: Destiny 2 (PC)

Like the first game, we're left wanting more.

When Destiny first launched in late 2014, it was something special, almost magical. Bungie and Activision created a new franchise that let players explore parts of our Solar System from their couches, forge new friendships, take down massive enemies, and feel akin to comic book superheroes. However, that game was not without its faults. At launch, the game lacked much in the way of in-game story, opting instead to send the...
