Consoles besides the Switch will finally get their chance to play Rise.
Initially launched on the Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter Rise eventually made its way over to the PC. With over 11 million units sold across these two platforms, the Rise release train isn't over just yet. Capcom says that those on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 will soon get to hunt their own monsters when January 20, 2023 rolls around.
Pre-orders are open now across these new platforms. In addition, those who are subscribed to Game Pass will also get to enjoy Monster Hunter Rise through their Xbox consoles, PC, and through the cloud also on January 20.
On the beefier consoles, you can expect to play at 4K resolutions and up to 60FPS. There will also be 3D audio support for all next-gen platforms. PlayStation 5 owners get the added benefit of DualSense adaptive trigger support.
Though it may have taken a little while to come out, the price should ease the sting a bit. Monster Hunter Rise will retail for $39.99 (USD) on January 20. The Sunbreak expansion will be released later at some point in spring 2023.
