Today, Warner Bros. Games opens the doors to the early access to the MultiVersus open beta. Those who previously participated in the MultiVersus closed alpha are automatically enrolled in this early access phase along with any who receive a code via Twitch Drops.
Interested players can also gain early access to the beta by purchasing a MultiVersus Founder's Pack. It seems as though every version of the game (Standard, Deluxe, and Premium) is considered a "Founders" version as it seems to just be tied to those who opt to pre-purchase the title. The Standard Edition is just $39.99 (USD), Deluxe is $59.99, and Premium is $99.99. The more expensive tiers obviously come with some additional in-game content.
Perhaps more interesting is the fact that there is a MultiVersus Preseason Battle Pass also available right now. This will allow players to complete challenges and unlock rewards. There are both free and paid tiers to this pass. It will be live from now through August 8. On August 9 the full Season 1 Battle Pass will be released.
WB Games notes that all player progression and rewards unlocked during this Early Access period and through the Preseason Pass will carry over to the open beta that begins on July 26 and then through to the full game.
MultiVersus is an all-new free-to-play platform fighter in development by Player First Games that introduces a team-based 2 vs. 2 format combined with an all-star cast of iconic characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry; Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); Iron Giant (The Iron Giant), an extraordinary original creature named Reindog; and many more to come. The MultiVersus Open Beta will be available on July 26, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, and PC.
