Sucker Punch, the studio behind iconic franchises like Sly Cooper, Infamous, and the more recently released Ghost of Tsushima, is busy working on their next game. While we may not know yet what that next game is, we do know what it isn't.
As the studio's 25th anniversary approaches, Sucker Punch took to their site to provide a little look back on their legacy and to flatly say that they are not working on new entries for either Sly Cooper or Infamous. Just flat out, they aren't being worked on right now.
As our games continue to grow in scale and complexity, they require the full attention of our studio. With our focus on our current project, we have no plans to revisit inFAMOUS or Sly Cooper right now, and no other studio is currently working on projects related to those franchises either. These characters are very special and near and dear to our hearts, so while we’d never say never to re-opening those doors down the road, for now there are no inFAMOUS or Sly Cooper games in development.
However, Sucker Punch knows that fans are still playing these games to this day. To that end, they say that they will be moving the Infamous 2 user-generated content servers to a new home that "keep them up and running a bit longer."
Sucker Punch says that they are also working to move the Cole's Legacy DLC for Infamous Second Son into the PlayStation Store in all territories for those that did not the game's Collector's Edition.
