The Coalition says that they are removing the Map Builder feature from Gears 5. This is being done in order to allow the team to shift their focus to future projects.

Those who have not yet earned the achievements associated with the Map Builder shouldn't cry foul. The Coalition says that they are unlocking all achievements related to the mode for all players as they will be otherwise unobtainable. There are just two achievements tied to Map Builder: "I Made It By Myself" and "Homegrown Hive." Each was worth 10 Gamerscore.

The Map Builder was a feature that allowed users to create custom Escape Hives for the Escape Mode in Gears 5. That mode will still be available for everyone.

If you already earned those achievements, there will be a few extras thrown in from The Coalition. These include an exclusive banner if you already completed "I Made It All By Myself" and 10,000 in-game coins for those that earned "Homegrown Hive."

Right now, The Coalition is working on a new, unannounced project. They are using Unreal Engine 5 for this project, whatever it may be.
