343 Industries, the developer behind Halo Infinite detailed three new game modes that are coming to the game in Season 2: Lone Wolves.

The first of the three modes is none other than King of the Hill, a classic Halo game type that has withstood the test of time. The other two modes are Last Spartan Standing and Land Grab.

King of the Hill dates all the way back to the first Halo game in 2001. It won't be an exact replica of the original mode though. In Infinite, King of the Hill will have multiple "hills." That is to say, once a hill is claimed, another hill will pop up somewhere else on the map. Players can claim a hill by having the most amount of uncontested time inside the capture zone. The team with the most points at the end of the round wins.

Last Spartan Standing is all about survival. This mode will be a free-for-all (FFA) with up to 12 players on the Big Team Battle maps. Players will have limited loadouts and just five respawns. After those are used up, you can no longer play until the next match begins. The match ends when there is only one player remaining. This mode also incorporates some Gun Game style mechanics wherein you are rewarded with better weapons after each kill.

Finally, Land Grab is a lot like the Territories mode from Halo 2 and Halo 3. Players will fight in teams to capture neutral zones around the map. The first team to capture 11 zones wins.

Season 2 will also add in new maps, timed events, and a new Battle Pass all on May 3.
