Remedy Entertainment just announced that they are going to develop and release remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. The company says that they have entered into a development agreement with Rockstar Games in order to make this happen.

Details are a bit scarce at the moment, but we do know that these games will be remade for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Remedy will handle the development side of things while Rockstar provides the financial support. We know that the game will be "in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production." Sadly, this announcement makes it seem like the games are still a long way away from release. Until then, check out casino online bez depozytu.

The games will be remade on Remedy's updated Northlight game engine. This is the same engine used for Control and the upcoming Alan Wake 2.

The original Max Payne games were developed by Remedy and published by Rockstar Games. Rockstar retained the rights to the Max Payne IP, which they used only once when they developed and released Max Payne 3.

Rockstar founder Sam Houser seems pretty excited about this partnership:

"We were thrilled when our long-time friends at Remedy approached us about remaking the original Max Payne games. We are massive fans of the work the Remedy team has created over the years and we can't wait to play these new versions."
Houser isn't the only one excited about this announcement. Fans of the franchise, including myself, are positively thrilled by this announcement. We hope to have more details on this soon.
