Players can earn up to 15 million credits per day with this one simple trick.
Gran Turismo 7 players were more than a bit upset after a recent update to the game saw in-game rewards drastically reduced. Some races saw their rewards cut by almost half.
This change forces players to grind far more than at the game's launch just to get enough credits to purchase a new car here and there. That update also introduced some absolutely mental and very controversial microtransactions that saw some cars going for $40 (USD) each.
$40 just to buy a single car? That's frankly disgusting. Keep in mind that these changes also coincided with a Gran Turismo 7 sever outage that lasted about 30 hours. As Gran Turismo 7 is an "always online" game, this severely limited the content that players had access to during this time.
Players and owners of the game have started to rebel in their own way to these extreme business practices. There is now a way to earn about 15 million in-game credits per day without having to actually play the game.
VGC noticed that a method to cheese the system was posted to PSProfiles. It makes use of the Remote Play functionality of PlayStation consoles along with a script that will run the same race on a loop without any player interaction.
This method involves the use of a script running on Windows machines that are running the PlayStation Remote Play app. The script simply forces the game to run several laps on the same track on a repeating cycle. All you need to really do is make sure your PlayStation 5 is on and start the script in question.
Players can earn up to 625,000 credits per hour, or about 15 million credits per day. Without this grind, 15 million credits would have a real-world cost of $120 (USD) on the PSN Store. Given that these fairly significant changes to the rewards and microtransactions came after the game was released, I really cannot fault anybody who chooses to go this route to unlock new cars.
