The System Shock TV series that is currently being worked on now has its director. It is none other than Greg Russo, a man who is no stranger when it comes to working on live-action adaptations of video games. Russo will both write and direct the System Shock adaptation. He will also be serving as an executive producer on the series next to Allan Ungar.

Ungar led the 2018 Uncharted fan film that starred Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake. System Shock will also have Stephen Kick and Larry Kuperman from Nightdive Studios serving as executive producers.

Greg Russo helped bring Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City to life as a scribe. More notably, Russo wrote the script and screenplay for 2021's rather well-received Mortal Kombat film. He's also attached to the Space Invaders movie as well as the movie adaptation of Saints Row.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to work alongside the fantastic team at Binge and Nightdive Studios to bring the iconic System Shock franchise to life,” said Russo. “I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to make my directorial debut, and I finally found it.”
The live-action System Shock series was announced in late 2021. It will be streamed exclusively through Binge.com. Binge is also working on creating an adaptation of Hunt: Showdown for their service.
