  • Special Sonic Stream Happening May 27

    Tune in on May 27th for a special look at the future of Sonic.

    It looks as though Dying Light 2's new reveal will be in good company on May 27th. That's the same date that there will be a new Sonic focused stream happening on both YouTube and Twitch.

    The official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter just announced this stream will take place at 9AM (PT; 12PM ET). It will provide fans with a "first look at some of the projects, partnerships, and events" that the team is planning for the 30th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog being a thing.

    We haven't had a new Sonic title released since 2017 when both Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces were released. There was the 2019 release of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, if you really want to be pedantic.

        Back in April of this year, the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie was unleashed upon the world. I say "unleashed" not because of the terrible Sonic Unleashed game, but because of the unspeakable horrors Sonic's movie design thrust upon an unsuspecting world.

        Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Trailer Has Some Teeth

        Sonic the Hedgehog is a movie about a blue hedgehog with oddly long legs that has human teeth.

        There is a live-action comedy coming out from Paramount that features Sonic the Hedgehog. Coincidentally, his name is also the name of the movie. This trailer shows us a few things:

        First, it shows us that Sonic the Hedgehog has very human teeth. It's weird and kind of creepy.


        Secondly, it shows us a Jim Carrey role that allows him to be goofy again....

        A Fourth Sonic the Hedgehog Movie is Confirmed

        Another Sonic is coming in 2027.

        The third Sonic the Hedgehog movie, aptly named Sonic the Hedgehog 3, made its premiere on December 10. The release of the film in the United States isn't even until tomorrow, December 20th. That hasn't stopped Paramount from announcing that a fourth film, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, will be coming in Spring 2027.

        Variety is the first to announce that a fourth film is already being worked on. This news seems to be supported by another post-credits...
