Sonic the Hedgehog is a movie about a blue hedgehog with oddly long legs that has human teeth.
There is a live-action comedy coming out from Paramount that features Sonic the Hedgehog. Coincidentally, his name is also the name of the movie. This trailer shows us a few things:
First, it shows us that Sonic the Hedgehog has very human teeth. It's weird and kind of creepy.
Secondly, it shows us a Jim Carrey role that allows him to be goofy again. Getting to see Carrey act goofy in a movie again is a bit refreshing. Third, Sonic's eyes aren't nearly big enough in this film. Finally, we see that maybe choosing a song like Gansta's Paradise perhaps wasn't a good choice for this trailer.
However, I really must say that the movie doesn't look anywhere near as bad as I was expecting it to look. I think I kind of want to see it? Whatever you think of it, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie will be released in theaters this November.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
