Today, HTC revealed their latest standalone VR headset, the HTC Vive Focus 3. This is an "enterprise" focused headset that offers up a Snapdragon XR2 chipset, 6MP per eye resolution, 120 degree FOV, new controllers, and more for a mere $1,300 (USD). This device is slated to arrive on June 27, 2021.
This lofty price tag does include a two year long business warranty along with Vive Business services. Again, this really isn't for consumers per se, but that probably won't stop a lot of people from picking one up for personal use at home.

According to the spec sheet, the 6MP of resolution per eye is a massive leap over the 2.3MP of the Vive Focus Plus and the 3.5MP on the Oculus Quest 2. Heat will be mitigated thanks to an active cooling solution and a 15W heat-pipe. Given that this is a standalone device, the tracking is done inside-out via infrared instead of visible light. There will also be an optional Vive streaming cable released that will allow users to connect the device to their PC if desired.
