Yesterday, CD Projekt Red said that they have "decided to reconsider" the future of multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077. I mean, that's no real loss there because there aren't exactly any details for the multiplayer that ever surfaced. What would have been a bigger loss is is the company decided to scrap their expansion plans for the game.

Good news today as it has been confirmed by the studio that they are still very much working on expansion content for Cyberpunk 2077.

This was confirmed during a post-update update released by the company. The studio says that despite the delays for pretty much everything related to Cyberpunk 2077, they are still working on the expansions. Senior VP of business development Michal Nowakowski issued the following remarks about the expansions.

"We’ve been talking about the fact that there will be expansions for Cyberpunk for a while. We haven’t given any details in terms of their names or any potential SRP [suggested retail price] or anything like that, but yes, we can confirm we’re working on them. They’re in our plans."
He also went on to say that there are some free DLC pieces in the works for Cyberpunk 2077. These would presumably be similar to the free but smaller pieces of DLC that were released for The Witcher 3.

At present there is no indication as to when we might see these full blown expansions for Cyberpunk 2077. We do know that the push to release needed patches for the game have delayed the expansions. The new content may still yet be quite a ways off.
