Life is Strange: True Colors Announced

Also announced is Life is Strange Remastered Collection.

Square Enix just announced Life is Strange: True Colors today as part of their Square Enix Presents presentation. This is the newest entry in the franchise and is currently being worked on by Deck Nine Games. This is the same studio that made Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

There are some very interesting things to note with this new announcement. First up, the trailer was presented with music by mxmtoon. We also meet the game's new protagonist, her "dynamic supernatural power," and a little bit about the story. Also of note here is the fact that you will not have to wait for the episodes to be released. Life is Strange: True Colors will be available all at once at release.

And when will it be released, you may be asking? It will be released on September 10, 2021 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, and PC via both Steam and the Windows Store.

Players will be placed in the shoes of Alex Chen, a girl that has the4 psychic power of Empathy. This power allows her to experience, absorb, and manipulate the strong emotions of others. Her story takes place in the town of Haven Springs. Her powers will allow her to discover some dark secrets of the small town while also coming to terms with the recent death of her brother.

Playersâ€™ time exploring Haven Springs will be underpinned by the exclusive soundtrack, with new tracks by mxmtoon and Novo Amor, and licensed songs including Radiohead, Phoebe Bridgers, Gabrielle Aplin, and much more.

Also announced today is the Life is Strange Remastered Collection. This collection will contain remastered editions of Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm, both will contain improved visuals and animations. This release will be available as part of the Ultimate Edition of Life is Strange: True Colors as well as a stand-alone edition released later this year.

Life is Strange: True Colors will be available both physically and digitally in three editions: the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and the Ultimate Edition. Those that pre-order Life is Strange: True Colors now will get four additional in-game outfits for Alex.
