Full mod support has just been added to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases of SnowRunner. This announcement came today from Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive. While not every single mod that is available on PC will make its way to consoles, a great number of them will be made available.

Mods can be added via a Mod.io interface. You will need an account in order to find new content through the in-game mod browser. Once you find a mod that you want to add, it's as simple as clicking a button to download and install the mod to your console.

Those of you who have ever used mods on the console release of Fallout 4 probably have a good idea of what to expect from this.

Some of the new content includes with mods are things like free new vehicles, maps, and more. Thus far, over 5 million mods have been downloaded for the PC version of the game.

SnowRunner is out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The second season of content, Explore & Expand, is now also available as a standalone DLC or as part of the game's Season Pass offering.
