Agent 47 gets a little wet in this new level reveal.
Agent 47

IO Interactive just released a fresh look at a fresh map coming to Hitman 3. Welcome to the rainy, neon-lit streets of a Chinese transportation hub called Chongqing. It's an area that is packed with shops and food stands, all crammed tightly together in cramped, narrow streets. It is here that we get to see the "improvements and refinements" that have been made to the engine powering Hitman 3.

IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier Engine that powers Hitman 3 has never looked better. It now features improvements to lighting, reflections, animation, and even the AI. As noted prior, Agent 47 will get a little wet thanks to the rain drops hitting his clothes and getting them appropriately wet.

Next-gen consoles will benefit from 4K resolutions at 60fps with HDR support. The latest trailer, seen below, shows off Chongqing in all of its glory, including a look at the Glacier's crowd tech that allows for up to 300 NPCs in one location at once.

Don't forget that you will be able to import locations from the previous game sin the trilogy to have more than 20 locations under one global umbrella. The technical improvements made in Hitman 3 will also make their way to the imported maps.

Hitman 3 will be released on January 20, 2021 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store (affiliate link). It is a timed exclusive on the PC side of things, so buckle up for the long wait if you prefer to have all of your games through Steam or any other storefront.
