Get back into the swing of things.
PGA TOUR 2K21 Key Art

As the world continues to go to hell in a hand basket, you probably aren't able to get yourself out to the links just yet. It's a good thing that regular digital golf games coming out still exists and this year is no exception. On August 21, 2K will launch their officially licensed golf simulation game, PGA Tour 2K21 to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and the PC via Steam. The cover athlete will be none other than PGA Tour professional Justin Thomas.

If this news seems familiar to you, that may be because PGA Tour 2K21 was announced this past week. Today marks the full reveal of the game complete with a look at the new gameplay features and content coming this August.

PGA Tour 2K21 is being developed by HB Studios, the same team that developed The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour. This year's release is said to be an "evolution" of the studio's fairly well received The Golf Club franchise.

This game will feature 15 licensed PGA Tour courses. Each course has been scanned using new technologies that are said to "bring the fairways, greens, bunkers, trees, lakes, and ponds to life." Those ponds are going to be so real you can't help but get a little moist when you're near them. That certainly came out wrong, but it's too late now!

There will also be a course designer included with the game. Players will be able to carve out their own dream courses and share them with the world. While I did not play last year's release, I do know that the Course Designer option in previous years was a very welcome addition. It was a lot of fun playing on some of the more experimental courses as well as those more traditional looking courses that were well received by the community.

In addition to Justin Thomas, there will be 11 additional PGA Tour pros included. Each of them will offer a challenge to players during the PGA Tour Career Mode as they compete to become a FedExCup Champion. Players will be able to make their own MyPLAYER and outfit them with various customization options. Some of these options include officially licensed apparel from brands like Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Malbon Golf, Callaway Golf, Bridgestone Golf, TaylorMade Golf, and others.

Presentation is also a major focus for this year's offering. There will be broadcast-style presentations, dynamic cutscenes, and a seamless replay system. Commentary will be provided by Luke Elvy and analyst Rich Beem.
