A fresh look at an old classic.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered

A new gameplay trailer is out for The Wonderful 101: Remastered. The trailer comes to us all today courtesy of PlatinumGames. Pre-orders, by way of a Kickstarter, began back in early February. As it stands, The Wonderful 101: Remastered is on track for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

PlatinumGames confirmed on Wednesday that this remaster of the much loved Wii U classic will arrive on May 19. Those in Europe will get it on May 22 while Japan will have to wait until June 11.

Today's new trailer provides fans with about a minute of footage. It shows how the game has been visually enhanced compared to the Wii U version. The Wonderful 101: Remastered also includes updated controls that are properly suited for each platform. Platinum is also working on some features that will make it easier for new players to get into the game.

The Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101: Remastered pulled in about $2.1million (USD) from backers. The original release of The Wonderful 101 came in 2013 for the Wii U. You assume control over a bunch of heroes all at the same time. You then combine those heroes to giant weapons in order to take out enemies.
