On January 22, the new Guardian class will be added to the still fairly popular MMO, Black Desert Online. Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss will then release the Guardian's Awakening skills just two weeks later on February 5.
Naturally, the new Guardian class won't cost you anything extra to access. However, the real question is whether or not you're prepared to have the game consume your life by leveling up another character. If you already love the game, the answer is probably "yes."
With her Awakening, Guardians will utilize Jördun, a giant polearm that "burns with the holy flame of Ynix, the magic fire that has the power to slay even the gods themselves." Awakening skills for the Guardian will lead to improved Area of Effect (AoE) spells and abilities. I can't wait to see these characters that have god slaying weapons out there beating up on some lowly imps or something.
In addition to the Guardian and their Awakening, the Succession update continues for Black Desert Online players this week. This week, the Dark Knight will get some updated skills for the original weapon, the Kriegsmesser. A bit more about this update can be found after a trailer for the new Guardian class.

By giving up the versatility of her Awakening skills, players can choose to specialize in Succession skills which give them powerful versions of their main-weapon skills. Players can unlock their Succession skills at level 56 by accepting a quest from their Black Spirit companion.
