We seem to have yet another leak on our hands today. This time it's for the still not officially announced remake of Resident Evil 3. It seems as though the cover art for this totally not real game was found on the servers for the PlayStation Store.
A games tracker feature on Gamstat quickly embeded the images from the PlayStation Store and thus made them visible publicly. Since then the images were pulled from being publicly accessible on the PlayStation Store. It's a good thing Gematsu saved the images locally before that happened.
From the looks of it, there will be three different flavors of cover for Resident Evil 3. There's the normal one, the Biohazard one which is a far more familiar name for the series for those living in Japan. Then there is a weird Biohazard one that's labeled with "Z Version." What is this "Z Version?" It's a mystery to everyone, but I assume it's probably a deluxe edition that comes with whatever DLC they might be planning.
Anyway, let's get a look at the remake versions of Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliveira, and that big walking bundle of "STAAAAAAAAAARS" called Nemesis.
Also of note is the fact that covers for Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil spinoff game, Project Resistance, were also pulled from the PlayStation Store servers today. Though they aren't as exciting, especially since they look almost exactly like the key art we saw months ago, these covers do tell us one thing: The official name for the game looks to be Resident Evil: Resistance or Biohazard: Resistance depending on your brand preference.
