An old franchise is about to get a new game from a new developer.
I.G.I. Origins

Toadman Interactive is getting ready to publish a new entry in the I.G.I. franchise. These games have been around for a long while now and they prominently featured gameplay of the first-person stealth variety. The latest entry in the game is I.G.I. Origins and it is currently in development from Antimatter Games. This is the same studio that was the lead on Rising Storm 2: Vietnam.

I.G.I. Origins is currently in development for the PC, Xbox One, and PC and is slated to have a global release in 2021.

I.G.I. Origins is set in an alternate 1980s where "Cold War spy conflicts take center stage with cinematic flair." The stealth gameplay returns along with "signature gunplay and tactical realism." There is also a number of gadgets and a focus on narrative to pull fans back into the franchise. You can also choose to play as a male or female spy working with MI6. Players will travel to a number of global locales in an effort to save the world.

If you were wondering where this game fits in with the others? Well, it seems like it will serve as a prequel to the games that came out in 2000 and 2003.

Check out the announcement trailer, seen below. You can also check out the I.G.I. Origins website or add the game to your Steam Wishlist if you want.
