A new turn-based strategy title is here for Apple Arcade users.
Dread Nautical

If you are already sold on the Apple Arcade platform, you are probably fairly happy with the list of games being offered for the game's launch. One of those games being offered at the launch of the Apple Arcade is a new turn-based strategy title called Dread Nautical.

Dread Nautical will be an exclusive to the Apple Arcade. It offers a blend of turn-based strategy, RPG, and even some roguelike elements. Not to toot their own horn or anything, but the development team at Zen Studios say that this is looking like "one of the most unique videogame releases of the year."

You will assume control of one of four unique characters. Using some "intuitive" touchscreen controls, you will traverse through 20 randomly generated decks of the cruise liner known as Hope. Why would you do such a thing? Because a bunch of evil nasties have invaded the ship and are intent on wiping out everything and everyone in their path.

Throughout the game, you will come across 13 other survivors that may end up joining your team based on how you interact with them. You will tell them what they can bring with them, how to attack, and what their upgrades will be.

The Apple Arcade isn't "officially" launched until tomorrow, September 19, but Apple apparently released it a few days early. That means those using a compatible iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV can check out Dread Nautical for themselves right now.
