Get a new look at this first-person puzzle game.
    Superliminal

A new trailer is out today for Superliminal and with it comes a brief look at the game's story. Superliminal is a first-person puzzle game that will really change your perspective on puzzle games. Literally. You can think outside the box, inside the box, or maybe you'll just want to throw the box away. It's currently in development from Pillow Castle Games.

The new trailer will probably give you a general idea of what that means, so be sure to check that out below.

We already know that Superliminal is launching as an Epic Games Store exclusive later this year, so that's nothing new. What is new, technically, is the name "Superliminal." You may recall that back in 2014, we put up a news story about an intriguing tech demo trailer from this same team at Pillow Castle Games. This is the game that they have been working on now for about six years now. It's been a long time coming, but I'm glad to see that a game release is just around the corner.

Perception is reality… until it’s not. In SUPERLIMINAL, players explore the ambiguity of perception and depth in this surreal world by manipulating objects in physical space according to their perspective. This will test players’ problem-solving skills as they must figure out how to bend reality and perspective to their will in order to continue.

This brand new trailer provides some excellent tongue-in-cheek humor as it highlights the countless ways players can move, change, and shift objects in order to solve puzzles. This is the first-ever reveal of the game’s storyline with the introduction of Dr. Glenn Pierce and his “SomnaSculpt Dream Therapy” program. Caught in a Lynchian dream state, players must find a way to escape as they discover that things are not always what they seem.
