  • Superliminal Brings Its Perception Bending Gameplay to Life Today

Things are not always as they seem.
    Superliminal

The perception bending puzzle game, Superliminal, is out today courtesy of Pillow Castle Games. This is the product of about six years of work from the team. Superliminal can be yours for $19.99 (USD) through the Epic Games Store on PC. If you purchase it before November 18 you will get an additional 15% discount.

Superliminal is a single-player first-person puzzle game. The big hook with the game is using perception, or something close to it, to solve a variety of puzzles. You will be able to alter reality around you in ways that may seem a little odd at first but eventually becomes second nature. Be sure to check out the trailer below to see what I mean.

This is a game I've been looking forward to for years. I hope to have a review up here in a few days for Superliminal, so be sure to check back for that.

SUPERLIMINAL is a single-player, first-person puzzle game that uses perception as a mechanic. You play as someone who wakes up in a surprisingly lucid dream. As you complete puzzles to get to the next exit, certain patterns and truths become more apparent. In this game, everything is exactly what it seems to be! Wait, no… that’s not right. Everything is the opposite of what you think it is? That’s not correct either. This is a game about breaking expectations and thinking outside the box. What you see is what you get.

A puzzle game that pushes you to see things differently.

Superliminal is a game that time after time after time suggests to you, hints to you, or outright tells you that everything is a matter of perspective. It is a game that tells you that though you believe a puzzle to be impossible, the solution could be staring you right in the face.

Superliminal is a game that takes these simple ideas and attempts to create an entire game with that in mind. You are taught that signs...
